Japanese vegetable with a very mild mustard flavour and the leaves and stalks are used in salads and stir fries. It is also popularly pickled with salt.
Nutty, Sweet and crunchy. Slice grate or chop for salads. Boil steam, roast(Like potatoes) or used in gratin. Saute or deep-fry as chips or crisps. Puree for soups. (Place in acidulated water after peeling)
